Lunch

The mission of the Fairfield Public Schools Food and Nutrition Services Department is to provide a variety of appealing and nutritious foods in an environment that is respectful of each student’s needs and differences. Food Service employees will provide all students the opportunity to reach their maximum learning potential through healthy food choices.

There’s a new process for lunch!  Please see details below:

Lunch Ordering

As the district sent out on 9/11, all lunches are now free for everyone who wants them.  We will no longer be using our homemade OHS Order System for anyone, instead you should use the School Store in Infinite Campus as explained here.  Lunches will be made available even if not ordered.  At the end of each cohort, bagged lunches with sandwiches will be passed out to anyone who wants them.

Lunch Distribution

10:00-10:30:  Remote Learners and PM Cohort families (who want to pick up prior to the PM cohort starting) can pick up lunch by pulling into the bus loop.  If no one is outside handing out deliveries, simply ring the front doorbell.

11:10-11:25: AM Cohort students who order ahead of time will have the lunches delivered to their classrooms prior to dismissal.  Our kitchen staff will then stand out by each pick-up loop and offer sandwiches to any students who want them (not ordered ahead of time).

3:10-3:25:  PM Cohort students who order ahead of time will have the lunches delivered to their classrooms prior to dismissal.  Our kitchen staff will then stand out by each pick-up loop and offer sandwiches to any students who want them (not ordered ahead of time).  If a student needs to eat upon arrival, they can eat in the APR upon arrival.  This will mean a loss of some time in the classroom but can be accommodated.
